This is from a post from Steve I believe the day v6.03 was introduced. Either you need to DL this *newer* version or Steve didn't have time to fix it before jetting off to Dayton. Hello all, No matter how hard you try... This should only affect first time installations (new users; new computers) When you install DX4WIN, it determines which operating system you have, 16 bit or 32 bit (Win95/98 vs 2000/XP/NT) and installs the operating system specific port driver. Well, 6.03 *apparently* has it backwards and tries to do just the opposite of what it should. If this is a new install in a new machine, you will get a message that the port driver was not loaded and the program will not run. For those of you with previous installs of DX4WIN this should not be an issue. Those previous installs did install the correct driver into Windows, which version 6.03 will use, so it works as it should. No one caught this because all the beta testers, and Paul and I, all have had previous versions of DX4WIN installed, so none of them bombed. Paul expects, barring any real off the wall issues, to have this resolved this evening, with 6.03.1 being released later tonight. 73 de Steve, NR4M _____ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Roberto NE Sent: Friday, May 14, 2004 7:07 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Dx4win] (no subject) I made the installation and appeared the following error message: PORT DRIVER NOT FOUND! The Same Call window now contains two letters for the Conf field...is this something new? It used to be for Confirmed Yes or No....now it appears to be a combination of Confirmed and QSL'd.... Can anyone tell me if this is correct? Lou N2TU
