I recently purchased 6.0.3 after using version 5 for many years, and installed it on a computer running win2000 with the logged in user having administrative privileges (it won't install unless the user has admin privileges). Everything seems to work great, and I was able to import my old logs, settings, etc.
However, when I set the user privileges back to "Power User" (I don't like running as administrator, since this machine is on almost 24/7) I can't get dx4win 6.0.3 to run. Every time I execute it I get a "Port driver not found! Check Appendix files for the correct driver" error message. Obviously the Vichw11.sys file is still correctly located, but dx4win apparently can't see it. Any clues as to how to proceed? 73, Tom W4KX
