Have upgraded from DX4Win v.5 to v.6 and resetting everything. Down to the last challenge...I hope. When I grab a spot and there is a single (duplex) freq shown the radio responds, a little slow but it grabs the freq fine.
The problem is that when there is a split freq shown, QSX, the radio wants to go to the QSX freq not the spotted freq. The radio will show "split" but the radios freq is on the QSX freq. This never happened with v.5. I am using a Ten-Tec Omni VI that was upgraded to + years ago. Using the Icom 735 setting @ 04 and 9600 baud. The poll rate is set at 20ms and the RTS high is checked. It seems that the program is having a little problem communicating with the radio. Any thoughts? I could not make the software communicate with the radio (timed out), however: - CT 10.02 in DOS mode communicates with the Orion - DX4WIN 6.03 communicates to a FT1000mp using the same COM port So it seems to me that the radio, cable and port are working. I'm using the default baud rate of 57.6K. I did not play with the DTR/RTS settings (left them at default). Is there anything special to know about ineterfacing DX4WIN with an Orion? When I got my Orion, the previous owner sent me a copy of the orion.rig file, and I know I had to set RTS high manually in order to get it to work. Paul may have changed it since then, but not sure. 73, Joe Jim Reisert AD1C wrote: >--- Joe Giacobello <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > >>Jim, make RTS "high." Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> While playing with USB serial ports I got the error message: Radio Times Out Radio interface has been disabled. At that point clicking on a spot will no longer control the radio. The hardware error has been corrected but what changes in DX4Win must I make to allow it to continue controlling the radio? I have tried resetting Preferences | Radio, re-checking the DTR box and closing and re-starting DX4Win but there must be some magic word to say cuz it's not working yet.
