I would have to agree with you as to the source of the problem.  Here I
have an HP OfficeJet G55 inkjet printer with the duplex printing
attachment and it is capable of duplicating everything I have here
except DX4WIN.

Pete, I've been servicing HP printers for the past dozen or so years and
to
the best of my knowledge, I've never seen or heard of any duplexer
option
for any HP INKJET or DESKJET printer model, but only the later (post
Laserjet III) commercial grade Laser printers had that option available,
making hands off double sided page printing available to the user. With
