Thanks for all the comments. BTW, disabling Callsign Update in Prefs|QSO
doesn't cure the problem.

I really appreciate the fact that I only have to double-click on a spot from
the DX cluster in order to bring it into the QSO window with correct band and
mode entries.

But when I'm r u n n i n g QSOs on a particular band in a particular mode and
finish and add one QSO by pressing the enter key thus leaving the QSO window
empty for a while (sometimes a long while) before I type in the next callsign
(of a station answering my CQ call or so) I don't want to program to
automatically change band and/or mode just because a new spot comes in telling
the world that this fixed-in-his-views nerd Nino, IT9RYH, is still blocking
14.195 kHz.

The point is: Since it has been reported as a bug, as others tell me, it should
be fixed. And it should be fixed at least with a new major release; or a
plausible explanation should be given why it wasn't or couldn't be fixed.

As I said: I've been a happy user of DX4WIN for many years and recommended it
to many a friend but if that bug isn't fixed I have to start looking for
alternatives.
