Yep! In the current declining market for ham products (you might argue this assumption if you wish) the probability that a small (1 or 2 people) software company will fold is high. Independent of any substantive value-added functionality, I find it in MY best interest to throw $25 their way from time-to-time just to help ensure they'll be there five years from now to answer my questions and clean up bugs. Think of guaranteed bug removal downstream as "value added" now. This might be pressing a couple of philosophical hot buttons, but real-world scenarios often require pragmatic responses.
