Go to FILE/PREFERENCES/QSO. The right top entry allows you to set the default group number. 73, Roger -- Remember the USS Liberty (AGTR-5) http://ussliberty.org/ From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jun 1 15:38:12 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Roger D Johnson) Date: Thu Jun 1 15:44:15 2006 Subject: [Dx4win] Group Startup Options In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Dick Flanagan wrote: > At 11:56 AM 6/1/2006, Jim Reisert wrote: > >--- Dick Flanagan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > >> At 11:37 AM 6/1/2006, Tom LeClerc W1TJL wrote: > >> >And here's a question I could not find an answer to in the groups > >> >documentation - How do I set a particular group to be the default > >> >group when DX4Win starts up?? > >> > >> Preferences->QSO->Defaults for new QSO->Group > > > >Dick, doesn't that just put new QSOs in the specified group? All the groups associated with that log are loaded at startup. You can set the group that new contacts are added to. This would be handy for separating mobile contacts from home station contacts for instance; or keeping track of special event stations such as the recent German World Cup stations. If you only want contacts from one group to be displayed, I think you would have to put them in a separate log. 73, Roger -- Remember the USS Liberty (AGTR-5) http://ussliberty.org/ From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jun 1 17:35:24 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Darrell Earnshaw) Date: Thu Jun 1 17:41:24 2006 Subject: [Dx4win] Group Startup Options References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roger D Johnson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "DX4WIN Reflector" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 01, 2006 12:38 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Group Startup Options > Dick Flanagan wrote: >> At 11:56 AM 6/1/2006, Jim Reisert wrote: >> >--- Dick Flanagan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> > >> >> At 11:37 AM 6/1/2006, Tom LeClerc W1TJL wrote: >> >> >And here's a question I could not find an answer to in the groups >> >> >documentation - How do I set a particular group to be the default >> >> >group when DX4Win starts up?? >> >> >> >> Preferences->QSO->Defaults for new QSO->Group >> > >> >Dick, doesn't that just put new QSOs in the specified group? As I said, I can't confirm this right now. -- Darrell
