The reason was that I had se the QSO search preference to "exact" rather than the "pattern" setting I really wanted. The other extra answer was to my complaint about not having the User's Guide since I originally purchased my license to DX4WIN online. The UserGuide is included in the download and placed int he /docs folder beneath the Program Files entry for DX4WIN. Thanks again to all who helped!
