Maybe this has been asked a 100 times before, but I can't find it... my apologies if this is a dupe...
I am trying to import contest logs into DX4WIN, using the ADIF format. I want the name of the contest imported, to be displayed as a "Notes For This QSO". The ADIF file has the name of the contest listed with the standard field name "CONTEST_ID" but I can't get DX4WIN to do anything with this field... it seems to ignores this field, and instead creates its own COMMENT field by taking the frequency of the QSO and the QSO Number and putting that in the Notes For This QSO field. I've been able to circumvent this, sort of, by manually editing the ADIF file and changing the CONTEST_ID field name to COMMENT. DX4WIN then DOES bring in the Contest Name into the Notes For This QSO field, and then appends the Frequency (I really don't want this -- who cares?) and the QSO number (this is OK)... making a big Notes field of "Contest Name + Frequency + QSO Number" -- but it fits.
