Further to my posting below, I received the following reply off the ICOM reflector:
" I don't think a Y connector is a good ideal, but I think that HRD and DX4WIN will support "virtual" ports. In other words, with HRD running, it can connect to DX4WIN virtually to pass on the radio settings to DX4WIN. I am sure there is settings for this on either HRD web site or DZX4WIN web for getting all this to work together." Does any one know if DX4WIN has such settings ?? 73's de Tony G8DQZ -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tony Lord Sent: 09 October 2006 17:46 To: [email protected] Subject: [Dx4win] ICOM IC 756 Pro II Hi all, I have an IC 756 Pro II. Socket 7 on the reverse is the CI-V control jack (remote). I have this connected to my computer for the logging software (DX4WIN). I would also like to have HRD connected, but of course only one item of software can be connected via this connecter and its respective com port. Has any one had any experience of using two CI-V level converters (each with its own comport assigned) connected via a Y connector?? Does this work or can one piece of software interfere with the other when connected thus?? ICOM's CT-17 is for connecting up to 4 rigs to a PC, not the way round I want?? Appreciate peoples advice..... 73's De Tony G8DQZ _______________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
