Guy, Thanks for the advice this is what I will do. Please remind me, I know XP wont allocate the standard IO ranges (278 & 378) how do I address the LPT port so it talks to your band decoder?? It was to do with the portmap file in the save directory of DX4WIN. I had to convert an address and edit this file by notepad, to which ever of the three LPT ports which was allocated to the band decoder.
I did this ages ago but cannot remember the exact system. Pablo in his ARSWIN software now allows a direct IO entry range. So this one is no problem at all.
