It's not built in. Have you tried using the IC-756 radio type, changing the
HEX address code (and buad rate) to match your '7000?

DX4WIN might not log all the way up to 2 meters (does the radio go higher than
that)? Maybe try one of the IC-706 radio types.

If someone can cobble up a .RIG file for IC-7000 I can put it on my web page.

I have vista and v. 7.03 working fine. When I add new qso's to DX4 all
is well. However, I cannot find my W1ZS.dxl file in "save" folder which
has been updated.....therefore I cannot save that file to another drive
for safekeeping. The W1ZS.dxl file does not update from my original
installation of v. 7.03. The program works fine but I don't find the
update .dxl file or a ~xl file. Am I overlooking something?? Is the
updated file being kept elsewhere altho a search doesn't locate it. Any
ideas greatly apprecaited es tu

Burt,

Vista does not allow programs to modify files in either the "Program Files"
nor the "Windows" folder trees. You will most likely find the working copy
of your log file in the following folder:

    "C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program
Files\dx4w703\save"

Where "{UserName}" is your Windows log-in name. Disclaimer: At least this is
where it is located on my computer!

The same thing happens with WriteLog's INI file, which is stored in
"C:\Windows". A working copy of it is created in this AppData tree --
causing no end of confusion for users when they try to edit the INI file!

I guess this improves security, but it sure does make for a lot of
confusion.
