I don't post much to this list probably because I don't have much to contribute or maybe because I know Jim will always come up with an answer that will be better than mine. I did feel that this would be an opportune time to express my thanks for the many hours he has contributed to this and other reflectors. It has certainly made my life easier. Thanks Jim and Happy New Year to all the members of the reflector. Jim AD1C, you stated: Vista has a useful feature for recovering older versions of a file by automatically creating shadow copies of deleted files. To recover an older version of a file, right-click on the file name (icon) and select Properties. In the new window, click on the Previous Versions tab. You can read more about this feature here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/shadowcopy.mspx If you're running Vista and your log was corrupted, you might be able to recover it this way. 73 - Jim AD1C Yet the website says: "DX4WIN 7.02 Note: DX4WIN is not yet compatible with Windows Vista" I have recently joined this reflector because I want to upgrade my logging software and a friend recommended yours. Although my shack computer is XP type, my next and subsequent shack computers will be Vista since I am using a Dell Vista successfully in my main house. Please reconcile the contradiction above on the use of Vista with DX4WIN. thanks 73 Steve K7AWB DN17es
