I think this depends on one's point of view ... My DX4WIN log starts in 1951 and I haven't claimed credit for any QSO's ... for anything ... other than for a given location and/or call.
When I moved from Florida to Colorado, I started over with everything, for example. My five years as /MM don't count for anything, but my shore-time operation from home does, from my point of view. I -CAN- search the log by date, of course and this enables me to determine what I accomplished at a given location. I wouldn't want to claim my 1953 KZ5 that I worked from Oklahoma for credit here in Montana, for example. I do realize that today's "lax" rules allow such, but my personal "rules" don't. (:-)) 73!
