I've been watching this thread with interest - I have a similar situation, several locations and some dxpeditions. I have one log with every QSO and group set up for each DXCC country and for each of the locations I have a notation in the "Notes for this QSO" that details where I was, etc. Just selected the QSOs by date ranges and entered the text.
This helps me remember where I was and which card to use when I get a QSL from "Way Back". Hope that is useful to someone... 73, Tom W1TJL ex WB1CBY, /VE8, VO2 From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Jun 16 23:13:50 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (STU) Date: Sat Jun 16 23:18:33 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] Old Callsign Logs Dilemma Solved Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hello To All Again, Sometimes the most obvious is not always apparent till someone jostles your brain. Thanks to ALL who responded to my inquire about logs with previous callsigns and keeping them separate. A special thanks has to go to Erkki (OH2BF) who probably said it best. The group feature is a very powerful tool if understood and used properly with DX4WIN. I've been using this feature for almost ten years, but never acquainted it to my logging question. You can have many different callsigns, but use one log in the save folder. When one wants to break it down by callsign just use the group feature, and it's all there for you. It actually gives the log in it's entirety for any particular callsign. Simple I know, obvious to most, but brain lock to me, till now. Thanks once again to all. DX4WIN is really a wonderful program to have and to use. Best 73 es GUD DX to ALL.
