Jay, I have had the exact same problem with my IC7000 when operating portable.
I also use a rigtalk interface. Two things seem to have fixed the problem. First I removed a bit of shield from the cable between the Rigtalk and the radio exposing the shield and used a jumper to ground it to the antenna tuner. It seemed like RF was getting into the RigTalk device.
