In V7, the flags are treated separately. The QSO "Confirmed QSOs" preference affects the REPORTING of confirmations in DX4WIN. A QSO will be considered CONFIRMED based on the QSO "Confirmed" preference *and* the status of the Cnfm/Upl Conf flags in the logbook. Remember, a QSO must somehow be marked confirmed to be considered for an award. You update the Cnfm flag by hand when you have received a QSL card. DX4WIN updates the "Upl Cnf" flag when you import an ADIF file and tell it to do so for matching QSOs. I do not like the way Paul changed the implementation of this in 7.03, but as long as you have your QSO "Confirmed QSOs" preference set to "Card in Hand" or "Card + Upload" before you import, DX4WIN will "do the right thing". As far as I understand, only one of these two flags (Cnfm or Upl Cnf) will be set on an ADIF import, never both. The only way both flags will be set is if you both have a QSL in hand, and a LoTW confirmation. When submitting for an award, make sure that the QSO "Confirmed QSOs" preference is set correctly. For DXCC/WAS, you may want "Card + Upload", but for the rest of the awards, only "Card in Hand". 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/0, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 7 17:17:16 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Barry) Date: Fri Sep 7 17:19:18 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] 7800 and split freqs Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Solved my problem with the wrong mode (bad USB/serial interface.) Now, just noticed when I CTL-A a split freq, DX4WIN isn't picking up the split and creating a QSX freq as my FT-1000 did. It's setting the split when I click a packet spot. Any ideas?
