Hey Glen,
As reliable as REC (REA) power is, even I have a ups on my dx4win
computer and the Ye Ole Icom 781. I have learned the hard way too. Now I use
the SAVE button a lot more too plus the export button to save the Q's to
another source.
I am using a APC 1000 unit.
Another thing I do: File, Prefences, QSO tab and crank down the Backup to 2
mins so that way I haven't lost a whole lot of stuff.

lines (blinks) in the open plains of Iowa)
