Hi Paul,
Thanks for the 7.05 release.
But You forgot to fix the ADIF IMPORT routine.
I send again to You my email of Tuesday, June 10, 2008.
So if You want however to import the <QSL_VIA MNGR>,
(unnecessary for Dx4win), please redirect it to "Notes for
this QSO" field, and NOT to "Notes for this Call".
Usually I must use montly the Adif Import , to exchange and sincronize
data from T77C, T77CD, KH6ZM and KH6YR logs, and I must
modify the received files to avoid that the "Notes for this Call" not be
populated from unrelated data.....
Please remember this "request"......
Thanks, 73

Subject: ADIF IMPORT ANOMALY

Hi Paul,
The <QSLVIA> field was recently included in the Adif export routine.
This is a very helpful add-on!!
Unfortunately, the import routine does NOT work on intelligent way.
In fact it should ignore this field, because dx4win have a separate qsl manager database!! Instead it loads the <QSLVIA.........> on the first part of "Notes for this call", before the name of the operator, ruining all the data file. The only way to have a clean import is to edit the exported file with a text editor, to change the <QSLVIA> label with <_QSLVIA>.
Can we hope to have this bug fixed as soon as possible?
Thanks Paul
