I just tried with the current program. First I installed the old
January 2008 version. It installed successfully. Then I tried to
install the April 2008 version. It would not install because the old
version had to be removed first. I went into the control panel,
add/remove programs, and found "marathon" which I uninstalled.
Then I installed the April 2008 version and the installation was fine.
I don't know what went wrong on your part. I'm running WinXP SP2 (not SP3).
There will be a new, ADIF-compatible version sometime this week.

I read the "installer" web site pointed to by the DX4WIN site, but it
mentions nothing about XP.
