Am I STILL the only one who has problems making 7.05.04 communicate with the second radio?

I just installed version 7.05.04 and everything seems to be working correctly except the support for a second radio. Switching to the second radio using either the menu selection or the Ctrl-Shift-F12 shortcut fails to establish communication with the radio.

My setup is: WinXP Home, SP3 on a 3 GHz Pentium 4 with 2 GB Memory. Radio 1 is a Yaesu FT-1000D connected via virtual port COM5 from a microHAM MicroKEYER II / Station Master combination. Radio 2 is an Icom IC-746 connected via physical port COM8 from a microHAM Band Decoder. The rig file in use for the FT-1000 is the shipping file. The rig file for the 746 is a modified version that sets the default CW mode to CW-R with a narrow filter. Radio selection is accomplished by a Top Ten Devices DX Doubler controlled via the LPT port pin 14 control bit.

This setup works perfectly with 7.04. With 7.05, switching to the 746 immediately switches the audio as expected, but after a few seconds I get a timeout, the audio switches back to Radio 1 and an "Interface Disabled" message box appears. Executing a "Start radio" command results in the same behavior. I can see DX4WIN trying to talk to the radio; the selected band indicator on the Band Decoder flashes several times at each polling attempt. Connection is never established. With no changes in hardware or rig files (the same modified 746 file is in the Radio subdirectory for each version), shutting down 7.05 and starting 7.04 results in flawless operation.

Has anyone else noticed this problem? It appears that something in the changes to the radio handling logic made in the new version has broken the second radio communications, at least for Icom radios.
