Good Morning, again.... Following my initial posting regarding the problems with a downloaded .adi file from LOTW Jim, AD1C, was kind enough to send me a copy of his .iep file (DX4WIN>Save>dx4win.iep) and suggested that I replace my old .iep with his and then re-import the .adi file from LOTW. I did that (saving the old iep file, just in case), and it worked precisely as advertised.
The issue, according to Jim is a corrupted .iep file and he wrote that I was "not the first to have the file corrupted." I have no idea as to what corrupted it or why, but I am certain that it happened without my intervention simply because I download from LOTW regularly and almost never import anything into DX4WIN other than from LOTW. A day or to prior to having this problem I downloaded LOTW info without any problem, so the corruption popped up sometime in the interim. Thanks, again, to Jim for all he does to keep those of us who are less apt with these digital things up to speed and running as advertised. Below is the text of the original posting: Good Morning, all... I've had something odd take place this morning. I did a download from LOTW this morning, uploaded to DX4W without any apparent problem, and then for some reason, I decided to look at three QSOs I had with T27A in February to see if he had QSLd yet. According to the download from LOTW all three of my QSOs were confirmed, but when I looked in DX4W reports for DXCC summary, the number had not gone up. I checked the actual QSOs themselves in DX4W and the "upl conf" still was showing "N". I downloaded again, this time going back to the first of February, uploaded into DX4W again, no problems reported, but still no QSLs from T27A. I then went back into my log, cleared the UPL date, reset the UPL flags all the way back to February and resent the .TQ8 to LOTW. Gave it an hour or so to chew on it and then downloaded from LOTW, going all the way back to February again. Uploaded that .adi file to DX4W...still no UPL CONF for the T27A station. I checked the details on the DX4W log with the ADIF file and they matched to the minute, same band, same mode, same everything (except I don't record seconds in my QSOs), but there was still no confirmation of these QSO even though I was sitting there looking at the two things which are, for all reasonable purposes, identical. It also just occurred to me that usually if there is a QSO in LOTW which is QSLd but not found in the DX4W log (usually a contest Q), there is a report indicating that and DX4W tells you there was a problem and to check that report. Nothing of that sort took place any of the times I downloaded those QSOs. I've checked everything I can think of, including the QSO tab, which is checked for card or upload for the confirmation. HELP!!!!! 73, and thanks in advance, Karl, K1KO ______________________________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
