Hi Jim. Unfortunately, this isn't easily possible when using XP Home. I had thought the same myself, but no joy there. Thanks for the idea, anyway. 73, John W9ILY

Yes, the IRQ numbers are the same, but it's virtually > impossible to manually change them in XP Home. Right-click on My Computer, choose Properties, then click on the Device Manager button. Select the "+" sign next to the COM (serial) ports. If you right-click on a port, then you should be able to select both device address and IRQ. The standard values for those two ports are: Com 2 address 02F8 IRQ 3 Com 3 address 03E8 IRQ 4 You'll likely have to reboot after making this change. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, <[email protected]>, http://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
