Delimiting on "|" isn't really possible.
Here's an example:
I have a QSO logged with VE2DC whose name is "Mel" in the callsign notes field.
Now I work you in the NAQP contest and you use the name "Francois".
When I import my contest log into DX4WIN, the callsign notes field
will now say:
Mel | Francois
(that's the standard way in which DX4WIN imports information). So by
doing what you suggest, Francois would end up in the QTH field.
