I did some testing today to try try to narrow down the issue some of us
are having with the CW keyer. The rig is an Icom 756 Pro II, OS is
Windows XP SP3, connection to the radio is via a Rigblaster Plus. All
was working fine using version 8.02.
Here are my results:
8.02 Settings:
COM3, PTT Delay 0, DTR=CW keying, RTS=None -- Works fine
8.03 Settings:
CW on COM3, PTT delay 0
DTR RTS Result
None None Nothing
None CW Appears to be doing PTT
None PTT Briefly keys then unkeys, won't send after that,
Alt-S/Tune works
CW None Keys and xmits constant
CW CW Keys and xmits constant
CW PTT Keys and xmits constant
PTT None Nothing
PTT CW Brief xmit, PTT constant
PTT PTT Briefly keys then unkeys, won't send after
that, Alt-S/Tune works
Although I noted it specifically in a couple of places, in all cases I
was able to go into CW setup with Alt-S and click on Tune then Stop and
it would "clear" things.
As I've noted before, there have been no other hardware or software
changes, this continues to work fine under 8.02 as well as under N1MM
contest logger and Ham Radio Deluxe.
