As I suggested... use a new group... the old 256 limit for groups is now gone AFAIK... I don't use so many. But you still use just one log file. You invoke the group filter when you want to track 2010 forward. Another trick you could probably use (haven't tried it) is to temporarily set the award dates to Jan 01, 2010 start. You can always change them back later.
