Karl I used the example in my log of 7O6T; which is a new country, and hence of course a new prefix
Since this is LOTW confirmed, the country window would show as a "C". However, the way DX4WIN is, by default; you would need a real QSL to make the WPX window change to a C; so it shows as a "W" still. With LOTW being enabled for WPX; I guess you would need to go to Reports, Awards, select the WPX flag, and change the Confirmation to allow LOTW, which I think is the new arrangement Don't chase prefixes; too many of them !! 73 Dave G3NKC -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Karl Oyster Sent: 30 June 2012 15:56 To: [email protected] Subject: [Dx4win] WPX confirmation Hi folks, I've run into something that I'm confused by (there are a lot of those but this one is specific!!!) - when I have confirmed a new prefix (either by LOTW or via a QSL card), the "WPX" box which indicates the band and mode of the contact remains filled with a "W". When I look at the "Country" box, the "Zone" box, and the "State" box (when appropriate) they change to "C", indicating the contact is confirmed. I've just recently started paying attention to the prefixes, so it could be that this has been the case for a long time but I haven't noticed it. It does seem strange, however, that one award would work differently than the other three. Anybody have any info on this???
