Not Jim, but I may have the answer: it shoudl be yes, with some caveats.

I assume that you have a good serial keying lead already ? I know nothing about
the Heathkit keyer.

the normal way is to get a jack plug Y adapter for your radio ; that is, 2
quarter inch jacks to one output that goes to the jack on teh radio.

This assumes that yuor keyer and your serial interface are keying the radio in
the same way; usually you have an open collector feed on the serial lead for PC
kleying; I think when you key you are effectively pulling down the 12V on the
radio Jack socket to ground. The heathit needs to be doing the same. If it is
relay keying, this is ok; if not,  it would have to be configured to the same
polarity anyway.

This is the same as you woudl do with any other logging software by the way; I
used to do the same with parallel interface keying with CT, to my TS930S , and
an external keyer

Hope this makes sense

Subject: [Dx4win] operating CW from keyboard and keyer without unplugging

A question for Jim Reisert:

Using DX4WIN, is it possible to operate CW from a keyboard with a serial port
connection between the computer and the transceiver and then parallel the
output of a keyer (Heathkit uMatic Keyer) with the cable from the serial port
in the plug that goes into the CW jack on a Kenwood TS--850?

What I am trying to accomplish is to be able to operate CW from a keyboard OR a
paddle/keyer without having to unplug one and plug in the other.

Thanks for your advice.
