Paul,
As I mentioned in my emails, A> B is available for the FT3K....
I will have a FT3000 borrowed from the Yaesu hamfest show stock and it
will be in my shack today/ tomorrow and I will beta any new rig file or
code change you come up with....
Additionally, this 'problem' of VFO B not being set properly may also be
in the FT950/ 450 rig file as well...as the FT950/ 450 CAT MD command
has the first digit fixed at(0) ...zero....so a MD10 isn't valid for the
FT950....or the FT450...
From the DX4WIN FT950 and FT450 rig file:
[RC-Set Mode B]
CSTR=MD10;
Unless you have incorporated something into your code which is a work
around for the FT950/ 450, setting the VFO B mode may not work there. I
do not have a FT950/ 450 to test this...
Yaesu's commands have been mostly standardized since the FT9000 PEP,
except for such nuances radios with either one or two receivers.
As I mentioned in my previous emails, you write and I'll test it!
73/ Regards...

This radio 'stuff' is easy to try; especially when you have the
radio connected to your computer.
The .rig file is a fairly simple text file that is interpreted by the
DX4WIN
program. Look at the rig file for the Yaesu ft-1000D; there we set the
A VFO (mode, frequency split etc) Copy from A to B, and repeat for
the A VFO again. The program 'likes' this sequence when the
A->B command is available because it is so simple!

For the FT3K, this would probably work....I've been trying to get
Paul's attention since before he moved to incorporate that in the
DX4WIN code...
RC; -Clear Clarifier
MD00; -Set Mode VFO A
AB; - Let A =B
FT1; FR0; -Set Split
Set FA; - Set A frequency
Set FB; - Set B frequency
So even if you can't set VFO B's mode, set A mode first....then
let A=B...what ever was in the A mode goes into the B mode...then
set up your split...
This 'should' work....(famous last words!)...

There can“t be any support for the FT3000 rig file
Not from me or Paul or anyone else.
YAESU left OUT the cat commands for VFO-B and related Mode
So as long there are no commands in the ft3000 firmware
It is impossible
So why can't there be a driver that treats the radio like it
only has
one VFO? The ability to read the current VFO and assume simplex
operation is better than nothing, right?
