Unlike the older Yaesu rigs, Yaesu's new rigs require HANDSHAKE. Without RTS high, the rig will not send data to the computer.

I just got a new FTDX-5000MP, replacing my FT-1000MP (on which I had version 8.04), and upgraded to 8.05 because it includes the "FT 5000" as a covered radio. That said, for the life of me, I can't get the computer to talk to the new radio. I keep getting a message saying "Radio timed out. Radio interface has been disabled". Can anyone give me guidance on how to set up the interface properly?
