This will eventually become complete as us folks with old credits pass on - I have several DXCC credits from card submissions for mixed DXCC that have no information other than the fact that I have a QSO with that entity.. this is clearly not very useful for matching my log. I have looked at the ADIF file and it would be fantastic to be able to use this file to set the DXCC award flags in DX4WIN. Since most of my DXCC submissions have been done using LoTW I am unable to easily and accurately educate my DX4WIN log of QSO's DXCC award status, this would be the missing link. That's the reason ARRL added it, to allow data in your DXCC record, when it's available, to be queried.
