The easiest way is just to use the LoTW->Export to LoTW each time, then allow it to turn off flag indicating that it needs to be uploaded. That way each time you upload it will automatically only upload those which are flagged for uploading. This does mean that you need to have your Preferences set so that any QSOs either entered directly or imported are flagged to be uploaded to LoTW. It also means that what you'd want to do is to generate the ADIFs only from DX4Win, and not use the export from Writelog. I used to do it that way (export from N1MM logger, send that up to LoTW, then import but don't set the flags), and it got complicated.

So in other words, the flow is: Generate the ADIF file from Writelog, import to DX4W (making sure that the LoTW flag defaults to Y on new & imported QSOs), then export from DX4W. Yes, you do need to export twice, but I've found that it only takes a few seconds and it keeps things all managed (for LoTW purposes) aligned in DX4W.

As an alternative, if you set a filter (for instance, filter for K1N), when you start the export, DX4Win will ask if you want to use the filter that's in effect.

I hope this helps.

I need some help/advice here! I am using version 8.05 with about 145K qso's in the log. I have used DX4WIN since it's beginning and Writelog for contesting. At the end of a contest I save a log in adif format and import it to Dx4win, also send a TQSL file to the LOTW site and all is good. Now, my problem is the few contacts that I make and log to dx4win I would like to send also... example the 17 contacts I made with K1N. When I go to these contacts in the log window and attempt to flag them, the program wants to flag the entire 145K qso's. I have read and re-read the help files over and over again but just confuses me even more. The few brain cells that I have left need no help with further confusion! So can anyone explain the process on how to upload a few contacts? Thanks for the help, 73's Cort K4WI
