I did figure out how to modify ON4AOI's rig file to set to filter 1 by default. If anyone's interested in a copy of the file let me know, it's a pretty minor change.

Still looking for answers to #1 & #3.

After the smoke escaped from my trusty Icom 756 Pro II, I bit the bullet and upgraded to an Icom 7600. For the 756, I had one COM port configured for CI-V radio control through a CT-17 interface, and a second COM port set up for CW keying using a Rigblaster.

With the USB interface, I've already got CI-V set up via the virtual COM port, and I've got the audio coming into the computer via the USB audio port. (The audio out is there as well, I've got that working already with the voice keyer in N1MM+ for contesting.)

I tried searching the list archives and didn't have a lot of luck, and before I re-invent the wheel, I was hoping that the list might help me out with a couple of question:

1) Is it possible to use the USB COM port to do CW keying, or will I need to continue to use the Rigblaster for that? 2) Using ON4AOI's ICOM 7600_250Hz I see that it goes to filter 2 when clicking on a spot to tune either for CW or SSB, and using 7600_500Hz it uses filter 3. Before I dig deep into the manuals, does anyone have a version of the rig file for this radio that will use Filter 1 for tuning? For that matter, are there any newer versions that might provide additional capabilities? (Not sure what those might be, but figured I'd ask.) 3) For RTTY, is it possible to do FSK using just the USB COM port, or does that require an external keyer? (I guess this is more of an MMTTY question.) If not, what are the recommended settings to use AFSK? On my old rig, I'd used LSB and that worked, but I was wondering if I could take advantage of FSK for this one.

Thanks in advance!
