David, regarding #1 and #3.  My understanding is that the COM port
used for radio (frequency) control must be used ONLY for radio
control.  You will need a second COM port to do CW keying, PTT and
FSK.  That port can be used for all three.

Surely someone must make a one COM Port device that does the latter.
