Dennis, I used to have a Steppir and it worked very well with DX4WIN. You have to go into the Control tab of preferences in DX4WIN and enable the Steppir functions. Then you have to go into the menu system of the SDA100 and setup the controller so that it will track the radio. It has been a while, but I think you had to select Kenwood as the radio type. Once you have the controller setup correctly, then you have to enable Auto Track on the front panel of the controller. It should then retune as the radio changes frequency every 25 khz.
