I am using DX4Win v9.04 (1176) on a Windows 10 machine, and it has been
working successfully for months, but recently I was suspicious that when
pressing F2 to confirm a contact and mark it up for printing a label it
has not always put a "Y" in the label field. I had been blaming myself
for not pressing F2 when it didn't come out in the batch I was doing,
and I ended up having to mark that label for printing again.
However, yesterday I noticed two errors:
1) It frequently didn't (but not every time!) put the "Y" in the label
field - but it did put a "Y" in the Confirmed field. Doing a search
with F8 again on the same callsign and pressing F2 then sometimes worked
correctly, but sometimes nothing changed and I had to manually change
the label field from "N" to "Y".
2) Occasionally it put a "Y" in the label field but left the Confirmed
field as a "N", and gave me a bug report with the exception message
Access violation at address 0040366E in module 'dx4win.exe'. Read of
address 3CA93800.
I tried rebooting the PC etc etc, and sometimes it worked afterwards but
other times I got one or other of the errors described above.
Has anyone else had issues like this? I have sent the bug report to
Paul - will report back when we get a solution.
