Using ver. 9.0.4 1176 and Win 10 Pro I cannot open the program at the exception of the small window (top left of the screen) which shows file, Radio, Help). Clicking on File > Open brings the usual “Open log file” and the list of files nested within the “Save” sub-folder. All these files have a DXL extension. No file with a ~ (tilde) within that list. All files were working properly before but cannot be opened anymore. Properties of everyone of them on the “Security” tab show “Full control” for “Authenticated Users”.
Clicking on the "File > Info" the Current Status windows show which log file I was using last with the correct Nr of QSO. The “Preferences” option also reveals all existing working functions. So, how did this problem happen? I decided a few days ago to use a dual monitor function onto which I could have some of the DX4win feature available (small QSO window, Same call and a window where I could retrieve calls from the QRZ data) along with the waterfall of WSJT-X sharing the bottom side of monitor 2. On monitor 1 I would run the other portion of the WSJT activity. Sliding each section on the right place initially worked out just as I wanted. On the “display” aspect of Windows I run “extended function”. Next morning the DX4win would not open anymore while WSJT-x worked exactly as I left it the night before using both displays. Going back to single monitor 1 or 2 doesn’t resolve this inability to open DX4win. I would suspect one of the files become corrupted (config.dat ?). I have copies of all the log files on separate disk and thumb drive but before I un-install DX4WIN someone might have a clue how to fix this. I can restart from scratch and see if this dual monitor idea works or not. It would be nice. Thank you for any help. ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
