I will say I too am curious how to NOT spot the IOTA info. My reasoning is, many times I see my spots have a BOGUS QSX second freq in the spot....even though I'm not working the DX split. And the bogus freq will be some random number....Like say I'm working someone on 18.120 Mhz SSB.....and they are working direct and NOT split.....my DX spot might (sometimes, not always) show a second frequency something like 18.137.01 Mhz. It has no rhyme or reason....it just randomly does that on SOME of my DX spots (thankfully, many spot correctly). I've learned I have to check for that bogus QSX freq and delete it before I spot....though sometimes, I mess up and miss it and spot it....making others go "uh?????".
So.....................in that regard......since I'm not an IOTA chaser, I can't help but wonder....sometimes...if the IOTA info is WRONG also? I wouldn't know.....as I don't chase IOTA and don't check it. But since I see the WRONG QSX freqs trying to get spotted for some reason, it stands to reason......the wrong IOTA info might also get spotted sometimes? And thus, I don't want to spot the IOTA info. Of course I guess the bigger question is WHY....does my DX4WIN sometimes.....about a fourth of the time.....want to spot some ridiculous QSX second split freq when I'm not working split (and again, a QSX freq that is really bizarre and makes no sense....not something like 5 khz up for voice or 1 khz up for cw.....but stuff like oddball freqs like the 18.137.01 in my example above!). But I suppose I should be asking that question in a separate post of its own.
