the way I've done this when I changed the number of monitors or something
else that "lost" a window (reducing the number of monitors you are viewing
is a common way this issue occurs to many)....was this:

1. Go to the SAVE directory in the DX4WIN directory
2. Open the config.txt file (I still have this text file in my copy, and
I'm running the latest version. Granted, PERHAPS....if you JUST got/bought
the software recently....maybe NOW it no longer comes with this file? I
don't know the answer to that. But my copy still has it....and I update
every time there is an update. But of course, when I update....I do NOT
delete any files....I just run the updates. So perhaps this file....and
others...might be there from the past?). It will open in an app like
Notepad in Windows.
3. In that file, scroll down....until you see a bunch of groups for Window
settings....they'll look like this -

[W-BANDMAP]
HEIGHT=400
LEFT=127
TOP=283
WIDTH=533

[W-CALEN] *for instance, this is for the position of the Calendar
window*
HEIGHT=400
LEFT=272
TOP=245
WIDTH=533

[W-CALL]
ACTIVE=1
HEIGHT=269
LEFT=1042
TOP=598
WIDTH=336

[W-CNTY]
HEIGHT=66
LEFT=139
TOP=105
WIDTH=536

[W-CTY]
ACTIVE=1
HEIGHT=51
LEFT=1041
TOP=515
WIDTH=336

[W-CW]
HEIGHT=400
LEFT=20
TOP=102
WIDTH=533

[W-EXT]
HEIGHT=413
LEFT=534
TOP=374
WIDTH=563

[W-FLDDX]
HEIGHT=51
LEFT=20
TOP=98
WIDTH=336

And there will be quite a few more. These are the settings for the
position/characteristics of the individual Windows in DX4WIN. Find the
Window you need to move back on screen.

For instance,
[W-PACK]
HEIGHT=234
LEFT=-1922
POSITION=59
TOP=398
WIDTH=1036

Is the positioning info for the PACKET window.

And....
[W-SPOT]
HEIGHT=234
LEFT=-880
TOP=396
WIDTH=870

Is the positioning info for the Spot window.

Anyway, find the window you are missing in the list of Windows (and
their respective data)....and in the data for that window, change the
information for LEFT and TOP to ZERO. Then save the file....and restart
DX4WIN. The missing windows (assuming you changed those values as noted to
0)....should now appear again.

So in the above examples....to make the SPOT window reappear (if it were
missing)....you would change it from (in my example....the data/numbers are
for where it appears on MY screen....obviously, your numbers/positions will
no doubt be different...based on exactly WHERE you have positioned this
particular window on your screen in the past).....from.....
[W-SPOT]
HEIGHT=234
LEFT=-880
TOP=396
WIDTH=870

......to......
[W-SPOT]
HEIGHT=234
LEFT=-0
TOP=0
WIDTH=870

Of course, as Brian noted....you could always delete your SAVE\CONFIG.DAT
file (or
rename it). *But then you will have to reconfigure all your settings*. My
method, you don't have to reconfigure anything.....other than perhaps
moving the window when it now reappears....to where you want it again.
Again, if you've been a DX4WIN user for a year or more....and you have not
deleted any files, you should have this config.txt file in your SAVE
directory. Not sure if/when they quit including that .txt file....since
mine is still there............

Hope this additional info perhaps helps.
