Hi Mark. Yes, the .DXL file is located in the SAVE folder. I also have a second backup on a pendrive that is always connected to my laptop. I have verified that whenever I save, it makes both backup copies simultaneously. Mark, I rather think that the problem is mine, that I don't do it well. When the program closes unexpectedly (which is not usual) I get a message on the screen when I start DX4WIN, I tell it YES, I give the file another name so that it does not coincide with the main one, but the QSOs that were saved the last time in the backup appear, it does not recover the ones that were made right at the moment that DX4WIN was closed unexpectedly. I remember that I did exactly that same procedure when I had version 8.0.5 and when this happened to me, I gave the file a different name, it opened and the latest QSOs appeared, once I verified that everything was OK, I saved it as EA8AM.DXL.
Thanks for your response and I will continue investigating. 73 de EA8AM El mié, 13 may 2026 a las 8:29, ON5GM via DX4WIN (<[email protected]>) escribió: > Hello, > > I suspect that your ea8am.dxl file is being stored somewhere else on > your PC, and because of this, the .dxl file is not being saved in > dx4win/save. Maybe try using Windows Explorer to search if an ea8am.dxl > file is being stored somewhere else.
