Ron et al:
I have the Linksys Router and a wireless hi-speed inet connection.
Latest firmware. Running XP on a AMD 1.7mHz machine.
IF the cluster is busy, with spots coming in frequently like on weekends or
contests, then I do not loose connection.
But like these past few days, with only occasional spots due to the poor
prop, then I seem to stall out.
It's at this time that while there is no indication on the screen that the
inet connection has failed, attempts to do a sh/wwv (example) will have no
response.

Doing a ctr/alt/del to bring up the Task Manager/Processes will show that
DXB is now hogging 95+% of the cpu to the exclusion of any other programs
running.

Now this doesn't matter how many other programs are running or what kind.
Doesn't matter what node I choose or it's locality.
I do have the timer set and set to 5 min. intervals.

So far I can't cause the shutdown nor have I found a way to prevent it.
What I do is use the local vhf cluster during these dogdays of activity such
as poor band condx. or Mondays following a major contest :-).
