Just a few more notes on my problem.

The Windows 2000 I am using is the OEM full version and I first ran Ontrack to
completely clear my hard drive before installing the full version of 2000
and not
an updated version.

I then brought in Service Pack 3 and all the critical updates as well as
IE6.0.

I then downloaded Windows 2000 drivers for all my hardware including my
Lavaport card which is what the radio interface is using.

I then loaded all my software including DXBase 2000 and imported my data
as just copying it does not work.

The Lavaport is simply 2 serial ports on one card and is plugged into a PCI
slot. This particular card worked fine under Windows 98SE but is a real thorn
in the side in 2000.

At the time of this writing I just thought of something I can try and that
is moving
the PCI Lavaport card into another slot as I just remembered some slots share
interrupts while some do not and I may need to put it in a slot that does
not share
interrupts so it can pick a different interrupt than 9. I am hoping. HI

Will post my results on the reflector later this afternoon.
