Bill, It's actually a little worse than that in as much as Yaesu completely changed the RS232 interface in that radio and made it work unlike any other Yaesu product. We tried to work with one of the first versions of that radio a few years ago and could never get it to work. Since that time, we understand Yaesu made some eprom changes but not sure what they were. Since Yaesu no longer will provide loaners to work with and since no one we know in the Atlanta area uses that radio, we cannot go any further on this.
