Gentleman It isn't an issue that cw keying can work. I know it does. I have it working.
The issue is that some people have machines that do not. Even though it's APPEARS to be installed properly with the correct registry settings. For some reason, on some machines, the DriverX files are not installed and obviously not enabled. It's not an issue of com port/printer port, whether your using a transistor or opto interface. I have two 'almost' identical machines. On one, DriverX is Enabled in the Non Plug and Play section of the Device Manger. On the other, (backup and testing computer) it isn't. Both machines have the same cpu, same memory, and same OS. I've helped a number of people get cw working. But I've found no way to force the enabling of the two DriverX files. ----------------------------------------------------- "A liberal is someone too poor to be a capitalist, and too rich to be a communist." ----------------------------------------------------- W9OL, Bill H. in Chicagoland
