I've gotten a few request as to how to submit LoTW via DXBase. So here is a few ideas.
First you have to download the LoTW software and have it installed on your computer. You have to apply for the certificates. The instructions are pretty clear. Once you have the certificates and password from ARRL you can upload. What I do is use the Wizard to make a .adi file of all qso's after Jan. 1 1998. Save it to a safe place. (Selection Wizard in DXB. Choose ADIF file in the Output Type box, uncheck Test Only. Go to QSO Filters and make sure EVERYTHING is unchecked EXCEPT QSO Date> Adjust the date to 19980101. Click OK and press START. You will be asked where to save this .adi file, and for a name. I use W9OL.adi and save it to a special directory called ADI. That's all you have to do from DXBase Then you apply the LoTW software to 'sign' the .adi and create the .tq8 files that is uploaded to the LoTW site. I created a directory called LoTW (original huh?:-) ) I save the .adi and certificates in there. During the 'signing' process, you may get a message that an 'error' occurred in line????? This means there is something wrong with your log at this point. Usually it's a Mode that's not recognized or a callsign that is incorrect. Use Notepad to open the .adi file, and from Edit, select Go to Line#. Figure out what the error is and correct it in DXBase. LoTW software has a 'mapping' feature where you can tell it that PSK245994 should be mapped to PSK etc. etc. I found a few callsigns logged incorrectly such as A6\AA1AA, the wrong slash character. What I did was correct all the errors from my DXBase log that 'signing' found. Then I repeated the creating the .adi file and redid the 'signing' so it was perfect. It took a few retries as there were a few errors that were imported from contesting program logs. After the 'signing' you go to the site, and select 'upload'. That will take the 'signed' file called xxxx.tq8 and upload it to the ARRL server. After a few moments you will be able to check the status and see if you have any 'confirming' entries.
