Gentemen,

Without going to far I hope, let me mention that there has been earlier
discussions relating to the 847, 817, 857, 897, and the 100D. I will let
you look back through the archives to find those postings. Basically the
problem is very simple. One of you have already posted the information in
one of the recent discussions. All these newest Yaesu radios have the
frequency data in a reversed format from that which previous ones had and
what dxbase expects. I have the 847.

I built a circuit with a micro-controller on board to convert between
dxbase and the 847. The frequency setting and reading is the only command
that must be done this way. It is true that some of these radios have
limited command sets. The 847 has the most limited. There is no way to
read split data for example. I do not want to advertise here, but more
info about my circuit and the requirements for it can be had by emailing me
direct. I will be happy to discuss options with anyone interested. My
circuit may need a bit of tweaking, but can work with all the above
mentioned radios.
