Bob,
The best way that I have found is to type the country prefix
or the callsign into the Logbook window then press the Tab key
This will look just like you have logged the contact and it will
give you all the information in the Summary window just like a
spot had come in. This will look just like you have logged the
contact BUT the contact is not really logged until you click OFF
that entry (up or down) or hit the up or down arrow keys.
At this point (if you don't want to log it) just hit the Esc key
and the entry will be gone, all you have really done is a country
or callsign lookup (something like a price check at Wal-Mart)
