I ran into a few problems with XP service Pack two, but none were unsolvable. On balance, the upgrade was well worth it. I'm still running DxBase 2004 here.
Perhaps I did not do things orderly when installing, but I did have problems with Norton Antivirus 2003. The autoupdate function did not work properly following the upgrade. To solve this, after installing XP Service Pack 2, I uninstalled and then re-installed NAV 2003 and it is working great. In another computer I had strange problems with a video card....Geforce 2 MX400. I put a different card in their and did not have any more issues. I did not try the MX400 card in another computer so I can't confirm that a pre-existing hardware incompatibility was not already there but became evident with SP2. I did find that it solved my 802.11b disconnect problem (common with XP as it turns out) and it seems to boot faster and shut down faster. What a welcome improvement from the days of running a fully loaded Windows 2000 system! If any programs seem to run funny after installing SP2, I'd suggest un-installing and re-installing the program before uninstalling SP2. 73, Ernie KS4Q
