My 2004 Norton Anit virus would not update it self untill I discovered that I, or some one, or the Svc Pack 2, or some spam virus, changed my callender date. Changing the date back fixed that problem. after d/w an insider at MSFT, there is a known problem with Win XP SP 2.0 that blocks certain accesses to files or ports. There is a SP 2.2 that I am told fixes it. I am on Win 2k, so I am not personally familiar. XP is supposedly slowed down when the SP's are accumilated. I had this software for 2 years now. Does any one esles have it? It is very simulare to Geoclock. The software basically does the same thing as DX Atlis. You have to manually set up the cordinance to plot a line for a starting point to the destination point. Can Dxbase be set up for alternative software for the DX atlis tab? Why is there only one sorce like DX Atlis? DX Atlis works well and is nice feature but is this the only game in town that works with DXbase? However your Geocron program won't interact with DXBase. DXAtlas does and it is the only geographic program that does. I'm at work but from memory click on connect and the map opens. When a packet spot comes up click on Zoom DX and it will zoom in on the DX station's location. Click on a log entry and then Zoom DX and it will do the same thing. Of course all pertinent geographic informaiton is displayed on the bottom of the screen. It's a fun toy and a handy reference. IMO if you are new to DX it might be more useful to you as a reference than if you are an experienced DXer. I rarely use it as I know where most DXCC entities are and I don't have many countries left to work. I use it more to show my wife where the station I'm talking to is. 73, Art W2NRA ----- Original Message ----- From: WA9YSD <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Tuesday, September 28, 2004 7:21 am Subject: [Dxbase] DX Atlis questions > I have Geochron it is a global Timepiece & screen Saver and World > Watch.
