Dave

i had a similar problem only to find that the router cuts off the
connection after 5 minutes of idle. Using the Wizard to set up the Router
did not show this timer. My router is a Belkin F5D7630 with wireless but I
am using the lan for this operation.

After changing the value to 10 minutes and incorporating a 5 minute Keep
Alive timer in DxBase I now do not have so many problems.

However I have now incorporated the VE7CC program on the recommendation of
Jim McDonald and this re-connects the Internet automatically should it
drop out (Something that Jack is not able to do as yet). This now gives me
an almost seamless operation.

Hope this helps
